No more QBR’s, build a community with your users, let them tell you what they want, encourage them by informing them and release to them first. Build a community of enthusiasts for your product, service or brand. Makes revenue go up much faster.

🇺🇸 WalMart: ongoing strength of their ecommerce marketplace (+42% Y/Y) and advertising (+28% Y/Y)
Walmart's marketplace fascinates me. With a previous employer I worked on connecting the employer to WalMart, it was then that start reading more about WalMart it’s strategy and the marketplace.
I think there is a lot to learn from them in terms of strategy and tactics. They continue to grow in sellers to around 150.000 now. WalMart+ continues to add value for customers to save them time and money with things like:
Members will receive unlimited free delivery from stores, fuel discounts and access to tools that make shopping faster for families.
Members gain early access to special promotions and events, such as Black Friday deals, allowing them to shop exclusive sales before the general public.

That’s how you run an omnichannel business! On top of that they constantly innovate with new (AI) features that help solve problems or time for their customers. I really like it such a large company that is still so innovative.

This flowchart is a practical guide for product managers and e-commerce teams to decide whether a product page URL should be indexed. It emphasizes using the appropriate HTTP status codes (200, 301, or 410) for improved SEO. I thought nice to share as many companies still don’t have this right. Fixing this is good for SEO, visitor experience and conversion.

I am always pro more creative campaigns and with a little humor. So this fits in my street as we say in the Netherlands.

🇨🇭Email marketing: Swiss Airlines so 2000 era
I got a transactional email from Swiss Airlines. I do not understand why companies and certainly airlines, still send transactional emails with “do not reply” in it. You have to make the e-mail itself so clear that there is no need to reply. In this case when I opened the e-mail there was an action I needed to do, and it was not clear directly in the e-mail how to do that. So in that case the “do not reply” is highly annoying because their other contact possibilities are also horrible a non functioning chatbot.
So I just want to make the point: companies stop using <do not reply> on transactional emails.
🇺🇸 Amazon’s 5-star theatre campaign
I just want to mention this campaign for Black Friday or Black Week from Amazon. As an Amazon seller you know that it’s reviews that are super mega important to get your products ranked and sold. As a user you know reviews are worth reading. Sometimes reviews can be very very funny. Amazon used this to create a video series where an actor reads reviews. I really like this concept and it was made not by an external agency but by their in house agency, kudo’s from CrossborderAlex.

This campaign highlights a growing trend of consumer-generated content, showing how reviews influence purchasing decisions in the digital age.
🇩🇪 MediaMarkt Retail Media in store and online integrated!
Wow that is cool. MediaMarktSaturn has enhanced its retail media capabilities by adding InStoreAds to its advertising portal. Sellers can now showcase their products on 21,000 in-store screens across 650 locations in six countries, including the Netherlands and Germany. This integration bridges online and offline advertising. Very very nice I would say. Combined with “space as a service”. that allows marketplace sellers to rent space within physical stores to showcase their products. This is really valuable! Love to see this advertising portal sometime.
