₿ Global payments: the lightning network
It’s already been a few months since I was at Boracay in the Philippines. Boracay is not only known for its stunning beaches but also as Bitcoin Island. I tested the “lightning network” so I could be “my own bank” and pay my expenses there via my own Raspberry Pi. It worked! I think it is valuable for everyone who is interested in global marketing and e-commerce that the lightning network, might be the first real global payment network. Just a few reasons why:
It empowers small and medium enterprises, everyone can have a “bank” account and make global payments at almost no cost.
It makes cross-border transactions very very cheap.
It will greatly enhance the payment user experience because the network is open. Competition -between wallets- will be especially on the user interface level. This creates better experiences for all.
Both the monetary and the technical part are highly interesting and solves many problems and I encourage everyone to dive into that.
🖳 Google Discover: traffic for free
I helped a hotel develop its website. One of the things that worked really well was getting into Google Discover. Therefore I know this article is 100% true and gives excellent steps to try to get picked up by Google Discover. It’s worth a save and try:

🇯🇵 Vending Machine in Tokyo
Vending machines in Japan are not always so sophisticated, but they are everywhere. In Asia, it is easy to share profile data via apps like Line or WeChat and get something in return. This is a great example. In exchange for data and some feedback on products, the vending machine gives free samples.
This is great for validating products in both B2B or B2C environments. When I dream a bit and think about the near future, why not have a store filled with vending machines with free products? It fits perfectly in Tokyo’s retail landscape where there are many machine-only stores.
